Plus, DEX 3 has built-in hardware recognition for plug-and-play use with 65 different popular DJ controllers from manufacturers such as Numark, Pioneer, Denon DJ and American Audio. There’s a “Midi-Learn” feature for mapping controllers that don’t already have plug and play support. When sending a karaoke track to the sidelist DEX 3 will prompt you for a singer name (like the PCDJ Karaoki karaoke-only software) to keep your singers ready and organized while hosting. The search results in the main browser pane can be sent to the sidelist/automix list (with beat matching auto play option) on the right by drag-and-drop or by simply double-clicking a track with your mouse. Two list panes are side-by-side and easily sorted. The other thing PCDJ got right is the “Search”. Or you can add music from a folder on your hard drive by setting up folders as favorites too, which is basically a one-click operation. iTunes integration is seamless (if you store your iTunes playlists in the default location DEX 3 will just pick them up dynamically!), and imports your play lists straight from iTunes the first time you open up the software. The DEX 3 browser, in my opinion, is by far the easiest to use out there.
